Hinckley residents are invited to pay their respects at the annual Remembrance Sunday service on Sunday 8 November at the Argents Mead war memorial. The service will begin just before 11am and will be led by Reverend Ian Hill of St Mary's Church.
Attendees are asked to arrive at the memorial gardens by 10:45am.
Who will participate
Clergy and church members of different denominations will contribute to the service, alongside the Royal British Legion, Veterans Groups, Civic Leaders, and representatives of Guiding, Scouting and Cadet Organisations.
Parades and route
A parade will begin from the hospital car park on Mount Road and proceed to the war memorial before the service. Following the service, a parade will travel down Castle Street, through the Market Place — where a salute will be taken — and into St Mary's Road, where it will disperse.
All are welcome to attend both the service and the parades.
Other events in the borough
Residents should check individual parish council websites and the council's events page for listings of other Remembrance Events and parades taking place throughout Hinckley and Bosworth Borough.
