Burbage Common will host its annual Open Day on Sunday 13 September from 10am to 4pm, offering free admission and activities for the whole family.
The main event takes place around the visitor centre at the Leicester Road entrance, where a large marquee will house craft stalls, charity stalls, and environmental charity organisations.
Entertainment and displays
An arena will feature performances and demonstrations throughout the day, including TKT Cheerleaders, taekwondo, tai chi, Morris dancers and a ukulele band.
Activities and competitions
Families can enter dogs into the dog show, with registration available on the day. The show includes several categories to accommodate different ages, shapes and sizes of dog, with prizes and rosettes on offer.
Other hands-on activities include bug and bird box making, wildflower seed mat workshops, and archery.
Food and shopping
A farmer's market area will sell local produce, and multiple food and refreshment stalls will be available, alongside a homemade cakes stall.
While admission is free, some activities and workshops may have a small charge. Visitors are asked to follow a one-way car parking system and be aware of pedestrians.
