Feast Hinckley, the popular food and drink festival, is returning to Argents Mead on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August. The free-to-attend event will feature over 45 vendors offering a range of national and international cuisine.

Food and Drink on Offer

The festival will showcase diverse food options including traditional hog roast, smoked and cured meats, Mediterranean cuisine, wood smoked BBQ, traditional Greek souvlaki, mac n' cheese, Indian, organic farm BBQ, Thai, wood fired pizza, tacos, Bavarian swing grill, steak rolls, Punjabi street food, Cajun kitchen and local farm pies. Dietary preferences will be catered for with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options available.

Drink vendors will include a bar, fizz bar, gin bar, cocktail bar, real ale, barista coffee and specialist drinks. Takeaway options include local gin, locally brewed beers and local liquors. Sweet treats will be served by vendors offering traditional sweets, bubble waffles, stick waffles, chocolate strawberries, cakes, cupcakes, premium doughnuts, ice cream and premium milkshakes.

Cllr Mark Bools, Executive Member for Leisure at Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, said: "We're delighted to welcome this popular food festival back to Hinckley. Following the success of last year's event, which attracted thousands of visitors, Feast Hinckley is set to return with an exciting selection of food and drink from across the region. Many of the vendors are based within 10 miles of the town centre."

Entertainment and Activities

Live performances will take place across the weekend. Saturday will feature Dean Thomas in the morning and a Mayor's Charity Performance in the afternoon. Sunday entertainment includes Richie Phillips in the morning and Ukulele BoxVox in the afternoon. Local radio station Fosse 107 will provide music throughout the weekend.

Children's entertainment includes a 120ft giant inflatable assault course at 50p per go for ages 4 and over, a free sandpit for younger children, a mini-bikers track, a small children's carousel ride and Hook a Duck (charges apply).

Facilities and Pets

The festival will feature lots of additional seating and large pagoda gazebos available for shelter or shade. Well behaved dogs are welcome to attend.
