Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council has completed upgrades to the children's play area in Paddock Way, Hinckley. The work was finished in time for the summer holidays.
New equipment installed
Several new pieces of play equipment have been added to the playground. These include a climbing dome, space rocker, inclusive roundabout, and swings. All equipment has new safety surfacing.
Cost and funding
The project cost around £70,000 and was funded by a contribution from the developer.
Council response
Councillor Lynda Hodgkins, Executive Member for Parks and Open Spaces, said: "It's so important that children have fun, exciting and safe places to play in Hinckley and Bosworth. I'm pleased these upgrades have been completed in time for kids to enjoy the new equipment over the summer holidays."
She added that the project demonstrates the Borough Council's continued commitment to safe play spaces across the borough. The council's Green Spaces team oversaw the work, with equipment supplied by Eibe Play.
