Visitors to Burbage Common enjoyed a fun-packed day at the annual open day on Sunday, 13 September.
The area around the visitor centre hosted a large marquee containing craft stalls, charity stalls, and local and national environmental charities.
Dog Show and Entertainment
The dog show proved popular, with residents entering their dogs into a range of categories for all ages, shapes and sizes. Winners received prizes and rosettes.
Entertainment throughout the day included Morris dancing, cheerleading, tai chi demonstrations and performances from a ukulele band.
Activities and Food
Families took part in a range of activities including bug and bird box making, creating wildflower seed mats and archery.
Food and refreshment stalls were available throughout the day, while the farmers' market area gave visitors the opportunity to purchase a range of local produce.
Cllr Lynda Hodgkins, Executive Member for Parks and Open Spaces, said: "Burbage Common Open Day always makes for a fantastic time and this year was no different. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the activities and attractions on offer throughout the day. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the event such a success."
